Ingredients
1 kg beef, 2 onions (chopped), 3 tomatoes (chopped), 2 green chilies (chopped), 4 cloves garlic (minced), 2 teaspoons minced ginger, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon black pepper powder, 2 teaspoons Kashmiri chili powder, 2 teaspoons coriander powder, 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, 1 teaspoon whole fennel, 12 curry leaves, 1 teaspoon garam masala powder, 1 tablespoon tamarind decoction, salt to taste, 4 tablespoons coconut oil.
Method
Heat coconut oil in a pan. Now lightly fry the chopped onion with the mustard seeds, fennel seeds and curry leaves. Add all the remaining ingredients except the tamarind broth and grind them well. Add the meat and grind it again for a while and add half a liter of water and tomatoes to it. Cook on low heat until the meat is cooked. In between, when the meat is half cooked, add the tamarind broth. Serve hot when the broth dries up and the oil comes out.
